Move backward / Forward in perspective (Bug)

Does anyone notice that the move backward and move forward on 8.1.1 makes the component go to the back and front all the way?

Is this a bug?

I think nobody has noticed yet

It still happens in 8.1.9 :disappointed_relieved:

I have found, as the button tooltip states, this only works with components that cover each other.

I am still unable to move components forward and backward one level (in 8.1.39) that do not overlap, like a view with several embedded views. It's all the way forward or all the way backward.
I typically write down the correct order separately and then work my way down the list moving items to the front, or work my way up the list adding items to the back.

Yes, I posted a request to have that fixed:

Thank you for pointing me there! I have posted an image to illustrate the hurdle I encounter daily.

Still seeing this in 8.3.3.
Some objects will move one step forward or back but others jump the top or bottom even though they are covered by other objects. Sometimes you can move the other objects one step at a time pass them but it's incredibly time consuming and often gets reset.

Yeah it's a bug and given how long it's been a thing I'm not sure it'll get fixed in the near future. Just Ctrl+Select the objects in the order you want then do a cut and paste and it'll reorganize them into that order. Easiest workaround.
