We are moving our Ignition Gateway to a new virtual server. Now I´m using `8.1.38
Should I use the same Ignition versión or I can use the latest one to make my current projects work?
Ignition backups can be used on later versions. But you just can’t go backwards.
Unless making a major upgrade e.g 8.1 → 8.3 there shouldn’t be any issues.

There is very little risk in a minor upgrade, e.g. 8.1.38 to 8.1.52.
However, it is never ZERO risk.
If you have not tested, in a sandbox, your upgrade from .38 to .52, then I would stick with .38.
