I have the same question. I would like a tag that shows the connection status of an MQTT edge device.
I have a single MQTT edge device (Weintek HMI). This is communicating with the MQTT engine module in Ignition (AWS EC2 hosted).
There is a tag called "online" in the MQTT engine tags. This stays true when I unplug the device from the network. The tag briefly goes false only during reconnection of the device. Example path shown below.
[MQTT Engine]//Node Info/online.
Please can someone point me in the direction of a status tag that works?
