MQTT Distributor and Engine Module for Ignition Edge

I'm trying to connect a device to Ignition Edge using the MQTT Distributor module. Based on the module overview page, this should be possible, especially since there are download options for Edge-specific versions of the modules.

After installing the modules, only the MQTT Transmission module functions as expected. Both the MQTT Engine and MQTT Distributor modules show the message:

"Not eligible for use with Ignition Edge, unless licensed."

This is confusing because my license includes all Edge Services, except for Ignition Edge Panel. Despite this, the Engine and Distributor modules do not appear to be working.

Also, on the module overview page, I see there are specific versions listed:

  • Cirrus Link MQTT Distributor Module for Ignition Edge
  • Cirrus Link MQTT Engine Module for Ignition Edge

Is there a way to get the MQTT Engine and Distributor modules working on Ignition Edge with my current license? Or is an additional license required despite having Edge Services enabled?

Edge IIoT only includes Transmission; if you want the extra functionality of the additional modules you need to talk to our sales department to get them added to your license(s) individually.
