We are using integrated security for accessing MS SQL databases, Do accomplish this a Microsoft supplied .dll is placed within the ignition installation file.
This works well until we updated ignition and the file was deleted.
This is fine other than it take the nice update process from the EAM server requires us to copy the file to the server and restart it after an update.
Is there any means of preventing this from being deleted during the update process?
Don't place the file there. Instead place it in another location safe from potential modifications during an upgrade and register the .dll in that location. On a windows system, typically these files would be located in either the system folder or the SysWow64 folder.
Edit: Could have sworn that's where ours was at. hmm...
