Multiple instances of one alarm event without transition to any other

Ignition Perspective version 8.1.42

We were getting instances where our alarm clear pipeline was being 'flooded' with alarm clears from one particular site at the same, very inopportune time of the morning, and quite regular intervals (Sun and Thu every time).

When queried in the Alarm Journal, we are methodically getting multiple alarm clear events without any transition to another event.

Does anyone know how that is possible? My understanding of alarm events in Ignition was that it was on transition from another event (0,1,2,3). How can the same alarm event be 'republished'?

Also, this only showed up after an update from 8.1.21 to 8.1.42.

Alarming is not my area of expertise, so I'd recommend getting in touch with our support department for an "official" answer - if the support rep can't figure it out, they can raise it in the right channels internally to get someone who does know.
