mySQL Database Connection Fault after Reboot

Hi all,

I have an odd problem I can’t figure out.
I’m running Ignition 8.1.10 and mySQL v8.0 on the same Win 10 PC using the MariaDB driver.
Every time the PC is rebooted, the database connection faults. I’ve checked the MYSQL service and it’s running in automatic.

I’ve found that just the act of opening mySQL Workbench and logging in restores the database connection and all is good, but I have no idea why this is happening.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

This sounds like a problem that would be best addressed “live” over a support call. I would recommend reaching out to our support department if possible.

Based on the notes you provided it seems like the Ignition service is unable to access MySQL until a user has authenticated on the database server.

What user does Ignition use to authenticate against MySQL? Are you using any Extra Connection Properties or any other unique connection settings?
