Named Query Scalar Result

I have a named query that takes two parameters, the query returns a single value but is still a dataset. Whats the easiest way to get that value as a scalar value?

Did you make the type of the query scalar?

I knew there was a simple solution I was missing, I just couldn’t remember what it was. Thanks!
