So from research and reading it seems that the internal historian was made much more powerful in the 8.3 release. The intent seems to be to provide a built in solution for smaller systems or those who dont want to manage an external database.
What I have not found is recommendations on what size of system could utilize the internal data storage effectively. Really what im looking for is some sort of criteria based on amount of tag writes per second and total tags saved.
Like for example if there was a system with 500-1000 total historical tags but say less than 100 logs per minute and you wanted to archive a couple years of data, would the internal historian be recommended or not?
