Newbe Question - RunScript

Thanks in advance for your help.

I noticed in the manual that a RunScript function exists. Does it make sense to have a script tied to a screen so that when the screen opens the script does on the updating of multi-sourced guages?

I “seems” easier to me to do this than to use indirect tags.

Unfortunately, using a script to update all the component values will be less efficient. On top of that, it will be very confusing if someone else ever tries to make changes to the screen. This is really the reason behind the binding system. We already have all that taken care of for you!

What are you trying to do? Is this in reference to your other post, where you wanted one dial with 3 buttons, where the 3 buttons selected which tag the 1 dial reflected/modified?

Ha…No, I guess I’m reverting to my ole VB ways. I’ll adapt to the right way, eventually.
