Not stacked Time Series Bar Chart vs XY Bar Chart

I'm currently working with charts and I need to customize my time series chart in order to show 5 bars for each timestamp side by side like it's possible in the xy chart below:

However disabling the stacked option in the Time Series chart only makes them overlap each other:

Is there no way to be able to replicate the xy chart? I need to show the energy consumed daily by 5 machines side by side in real time and I need to be able to use the ChartRangeSelector and I'm not sure I could while using the xy chart.
Perspective-savy colleagues please help me, any advice is really welcomed.

What you are trying to do is make the x-axis into a category rendering.

You can't. It deliberately is not an option as it doesn't make sense to have categories on a time axis.

I think you're showing history, not real time.

Yes but it would be grouped by the same timestamp so I thought it wouldn't be so absurd, I don't know maybe it is.
