Noto Sans on Standard vs Edge

I am working on a program in Perspective. My main gateway is using Noto San. When I migrate the program to an Edge version the font no longer looks the same. The edge device is installed on an Opto 22. I cannot figure out how to fix this. I need it to match the main app. Anyone know how to fix this? When I access this on any PC the fonts looks different.

Because standard fonts are supplied by the device, not by the gateway. Find a font that looks the same in all of your devices. (Install new fonts in devices if necessary.)

Next question... how do add fonts to an Opto 22. I don't have access to files. I was hoping to avoid changing a bunch of fonts on the Edge device. I can make the look and style "close" with the fonts it has.

No idea.

My coworker picked it out for this project...would not use again. Not my favorite.

Updating Fonts to San-Serif. It is close.

If it's one of the groov systems, it seems like you should be able to set it up for SSH access, at which point you should be able to scp over a font file and get it installed. Not sure what flavor of embedded Linux it's using but it sounds at least theoretically doable.

That said, just using a generic sans font like you're doing is probably going to be much easier on everyone.

You can just bundle the font you want into the gateway's asset directory, and it should be automatically delivered to all clients. Maybe the Opto22 folks strip out the folder? Noto Sans should be included by default, even.
