numberFormat issue

Ignition Perspective Version 8.3.3

When using the numberFormat function in an expression, we see that the decimal point changes to a comma in the function result. However, the decimal point is desired. The session locale setting is set to en-US. Does this function use other (OS?) locale settings, and if so, can this be disabled?

Expressions run in the gateway and do not respect session locales. What is the locale of the gateway?

English (Netherlands) is the first preferred language. That is probably the cause. (You may need more specific help for MS Windows--I don't support its use in such production tasks.)
