Weird problem that I haven't been able to find the answer to. My ignition Edge (8.1.25) vision (11.1.25) instance on a particular computer running ubuntu 18 LTS does not completely honor the numlock status of the computer. In other programs such as the text editor everything works fine, but in Ignition, just on that machine, some of the numbers (4, 7, and 0) do not work as expected and seem to combine the function of the numlock on and numlock off status (0 works as an insert and 4 seems to do a backspace and a 4). This works fine on my machine, it is just that machine, and just ignition, but it is causing errors when operators try to input numbers and I cannot figure out why I can't fix it. Has anyone seen anything like this?
Hmm. Interesting. (I've not seen this. But I only use Xubuntu or Kubuntu.)
Does it happen in other Java Swing applications? Jetbrains IDEs? The designer? Can you try dumping keycodes being captured in the application to the logs?
I'll have to check that out. I haven't run the designer on that system in awhile. I was trying to look through any keyboard settings and mapping I could find, but I'll see if I can find anything with those suggestions.
