OEE Production Module - Production Comments Panel

Hi, I am trying to use the production comments panel from the OEE downtime module. I am running Ignition 7.6.4. The manual states you don’t have to use database queries to use it. This would be my preference over the standard comments panel component.

The manual is quite vague about how to use it. Is anyone able to give me some advice?
