On-Screen Keyboard Occupies Full Screen on Zebra Tablet in Perspective

We are using a Zebra tablet in one of our projects to run an Ignition Perspective session via the Perspective URL in the device’s browser.

The issue we are facing is that when a user taps on any input field (e.g., a Text Field or Text Area), the on-screen keyboard appears and occupies the entire screen, hiding the input field and making it difficult to use the application. This severely impacts the user experience.

We would like to know:

• Is there any setting or built-in support in Ignition Perspective to control the size or behavior of the on-screen keyboard when using input components?
• Is there a recommended way in Perspective to handle this scenario for Android-based Zebra tablets, or any guidance on how Perspective can be made more responsive when the keyboard appears?

Please advise if this is something that can be managed within Perspective, or if it must be handled entirely on the device side.

Thank you,

On screen keyboard control is browser/OS controlled. Unless you have a perspective component you have made that does it.

You should be able to adjust the keyboard size on the Zebra using the OS settings and controls while the keyboard is displayed on the screen. We are currently using Zebra TC53 handheld devices along with Zebra tablets and are able to make those adjustments. The only downfall is that you would have to configure every device. That can be painful if you have a large number of devices.
