Using ignition perspective, I have a project where the on screen keyboard is popping up when it shouldn't be. The only thing on the screen is a label and some buttons to make a keypad. Anytime the user presses the a button the osk appears.
I have the exact same "keypad" on a separate screen which operates as intended. I have disabled the OSK in ubuntu's settings. I made sure there are no text areas or input boxes, but it still appears!
Any idea where else I could go to disable this OSK? We're launching the perspective project from the Ignition launcher app, is there a way to edit the settings of Ignition's internal browser to disable the osk?
Having the same issue here. It seems to be random too as sometimes it will do it even when just navigating screens. No consistency to when it does it.
Does it work correctly in a browser instead of the launcher?
I personally didn't try it. I was only on this site at the unit that had the problems for a few hours, so didn't have time to play or tinker.
It works fine from a browser on a separate computer, and I have a second screen about 20 feet away from my problem screen that is not having this issue. Not sure if it has the same problem from a browser on the screen giving me troubles.
I was able to log into the computer and watch it happen more directly. Turns out the keyboard is coming up on every screen with every touch of the screen. There is some sort of weird interaction happening between the touchscreen and ignition in kiosk mode. I launched the project from a web browser and there are no more keyboard pop-ups.
