OPC Browser times out after 7.9 upgrade

I upgraded to 7.9 over the weekend. The system appears to be working fine. We have been running production for one day. Today I tried launching the designer for the first time since the upgrade and the OPC browser will not update. It times out after 2 min. I receive the following java error:

Ignition v7.9.1 (b2017012511)
Java: Oracle Corporation 1.8.0_121

Clicking the refresh can sometimes get the list to populate but it takes over a minute. Opening each layer of the list also takes forever and sometimes times out.

If I double click on a tag it takes over a minute to come up.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Are you launching the designer on the server Ignition is installed on?
Are you able to try to restart the OPC-UA Module?

This sounds similar to a bug that we discovered in 7.9.1; it has been fixed for 7.9.2. If it’s not a production system, you could try the beta publicly available at inductiveautomation.com/downloads/beta
