OPC Browser won't display connections anymore, times out

Hi,

I’ve been selecting tags from OPC connections without a problem for months, but for some reason the browser stopped displaying them earlier today. When I hit refresh, I get a timeout exception. This seems to affect all connections, including Ignition’s inbuilt OPC UA Server, so I don’t think it’s because of a specific connection only.

I tried:

  • Restarting my Designer and my PC.
  • Checking Designers on different PCs (including one on the gateway VM).
  • The logs show nothing of note, existing tags communicate just fine, and the OPC connections on the gateway seem healthy.
  • Haven’t (yet) tried to reboot the gateway and the VM it’s living on.

Any tips would be appreciated! Attached pictures of everything and an image of the logs. Trying to work around the 10MB upload limit for the log file.

(the failed hostname check for one of the connections is new and started a couple days ago, need to look into that separately)

Download a diagnostics bundle for support before you eventually restart the Gateway, which is probably what will need to happen to fix whatever is wrong.
