OPC COM Tunneler in Ignition 8.0.16

Hi,

We are trying to receive tags from a remote SINAUT MICRO SC OPC-DA server.
The plan has been to install Ignition to both machines and use the OPC-COM Tunneler module to get the connection between two Ignitions.

Currently we have set up Ignition trial versions on both machines:

Remote machine

Main machine

The problem is that we are unable to make the OPC-UA connection between Ignitions. We have followed said instuctions: https://support.inductiveautomation.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/80/0/a-primer-to-the-opc-com-tunneler-module

Both ports 8088 and 62541 are opened on either machine and for example we are able to access the remote machines Kepware tags as well as the remote machines gateway from the main server’s machine.

Here are some screenshots of our settings:

Main Server connections (remote Kepware is connected):

Main Server Discovery endpoint URL + the error message we got (we also tried to add the “/discovery” clause at the end and tried to change the port number to 8088, but got the same result):

Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance!

Got it working.

The problem was in the bind address. I needed to add the machine’s IP to the remote machines bind address to allow remote access to said machine. Here is a picture of my remote machine OPC UA → Server Settings:
