OPC connection error between Wincc and Ignition

Hi we have an OPC connection established between Ignition and Wincc Runtime, which was running healthy. Recently the connection got disconnected, when we checked the cause in the gateway, we have got 'Certificate not trusted error'.

Following steps are taken to establish the connection back.

  1. Copied the ignition client certificate to wincc and wincc certificate to ignition gateway.

  2. Wincc certificate is taken from this location 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Siemens\WinCC\opc\UAServer\PKI\CA\certs'. Also copied the Ignition client certificate to the same location.

3.Above steps didn't work, so we disabled the secure connection and checked, still we got the same 'Certificate not trusted error'

Please help us to identify the cause of the issue.

Hi we have found that the issue was due to datetime change in the scada system, after updating the datetime the connection got restored.
