I’m trying to connect to an old OPC DCOM server that is gateway that connects to some old PLC equipment. The issue I have is that after setting up the OPC connection the status is “connected” and i can browse all the tags but they are not reading any value, and the status is “Uncertain_InitialValue” I have gone through the troubleshooting guide in the manual for OPC DCOM settings and nothing worked, I have also tried all the combinations in the connection setup and still no joy. Finally I’ve installed Kepware and it reads the tags fine and when i set up a connection to Kepware I can read the tags using it as a go-between. This is not an Ideal situation as i would like to read the tags direct. Any help on this would be great.
