OPC device name not the same as the one in the gateway

So recently we got a new ignition gateway and connected a couple of new devices. After some time we had to rename those devices that we had already connected. In the gateway the device names are showing the updated names, but in the designer the devices still have the old names that was first entered. Tried deleting the device completely and then connecting it again, but its still showing the old device name in the designer.
Can someone please explain why the names are not updating in the designer even though it was changed on the gateway?

Can you show a screenshot of what you're seeing in the gateway vs the designer?

And, just in case - you're sure the designer you're looking at is talking to the same gateway you're looking at?

Also note that you will have to fix all of your OPC Item Paths yourself. Most would use JSON import/export for that.

Yes, 100% sure. It also shows some devices that are disabled. Also this gateway is a backup of another gateway, when the main gateway has device name change it also changes in this one.

Have you clicked the little refresh icon at the top of the OPC browser since you made gateway changes?

yes i did

I bet your "loopback" OPC UA connection on the local gateway you restored the backup to is pointing to the main gateway and connecting to the main gateway's Ignition OPC UA Server.
