Hi,
Probably question for @Kevin.Herron
Is the actual OPC UA server tested with OPC UA Compliance Test Tool (UACTT) Test Tools - OPC Foundation?
Will the next one 1.05 be tested?
Thanks a lot.

I somewhat regularly test the Milo SDK via the demo server, but not Ignition’s server.
The CTT requires a large number of specific nodes and references and methods that Ignition just doesn’t have. It’s not really a very useful thing to do.
Ok, not on mobile any more, so I can talk about this a little more.
The CTT and certification in general is much more applicable to e.g. the servers running onboard a PLC or the niche servers that are running an implementation of some companion spec information model than to servers like Ignition's, or like Kepware's, which are doing generic protocol conversion.
You would have to test all the available kinds of Nodes/DataTypes from every driver to have certification be meaningful for a product in that category, and that's just not really feasible. I think what ends up happening in the real world when a product like this gets certified is that you pick something like 3 drivers, configure them to the best of your ability to fulfill as much of the CTT as you can, and then work with that.
Understood. The question comes from an RFI, and we know very well that this kind of certification is "generic" in order to fill in boxes on a spreadsheet... Thank you.
Is it really asking if the server is tested with the CTT, or is it asking if the Ignition OPC UA server is certified (which does involve the CTT)?
Certified.
Ahh, okay.
Nothing is certified right now.
I may attempt it for both the Milo demo server and the Ignition server this year (pointless as it may be) after Milo 1.0 is released.
The certification would be for OPC UA 1.04 - there are not currently any OPC UA 1.05 certified products because the certification process and tests for 1.05 is not yet finished being developed.
That would be awesome
