Having issues with a slow down. Ignition Edge on an Opto22 is seeing a crazy slow down after a few days of talking to a Red Lion over OPC UA. And losing connectivity / access.
System:
Red Lion DA30D
Ignition Edge Opto22 PLC (version 8.1.21)
Devices connected via mGaurd RS2000
Edge device is talking to another Full Version of Ignition (Master).
After a week of running I noticed and issue where I could not access my Ignition via my mGuard. Able to VPN in to the mGuard. Had to go into my Main Gateway and reset it via EAM. Was able to reboot Ignition and access the software.
After a few more days, my mGuard showed it was down. However my Main gateway was still talking to the edge device. To get connected had to have someone reboot the mGuard and entire control box.
Main Gateway <-->mGuard (WAN) <--> NAT <--> mGuard (LAN) <--> Opto22 Edge Device
The OPC UA is set to read maybe 20 devices ever 60 secs. Being collected for histrorical data. We are polling and not subscribed.
Has anyone seen an issue with OPC UA causing a slow down and connection issues? We may switch to ModbusTCP if we can't fix this issues. Other Edge Devices talking to my main gateway are working with no issues. They use ModbusTCP and not OPC UA on Red Lion DSP. It is not a lot of tags and reading at a slow rate. Only difference between edge devices is the OPC UA connection. So I am assuming that is the cause of my network issue.
Before the hard reset you can see the CPU is maxing.
