I'm moving a Vision project over to Perspective, but I'm also using a new Gateway (not the original one).

In the old project, I had tags connected to devices that read temperature and humidity. On the new Gateway, I already:

  • Recreated the devices with the same names and IPs
  • Set up the same tags in the Perspective project

My questions are:

  1. Do I also need to copy any certificates or security settings?
  2. What is the full process I should follow to make sure the tags work on the new Gateway?
  3. Is recreating the devices enough, or do I need to do more to get values from the devices?

Create the connection with the same settings, check it connects, accept any certificates needed then copy and paste the tags from the old gateway to the new gateway. Unless you added custom certificates to the gateway, it will not need extra work.

How I copy and paste the tags?

The tags are on the Ignition Designer, right? not on the gateway

Select them in the designer and right click "Copy JSON" then go to the other designer and click paste.

After importing tags I getting trouble with some of the configuration

I wonder if this is something I can import too.

Those tags seem to be looking for an old OPC-DA server which is not present on your new system.
