I am currently using WAGO PFC-100 to retrieve tags via OPC UA. I have encountered an error starting with "Too many Monitored Items" due to the number of registered tags exceeding 1000. Can the Ignition OPC Connection settings be configured for more than 1000? Currently, I have divided the OPC Connection into two registrations to handle more than 1000 tags, but this has caused inconvenience. Can you please provide guidance on this issue?
This limitation is in the server, not the client. You need to contact WAGO to see if this limit can be increased.
If using multiple connections helped you get around it, the limitation may be per subscription. If this is the case, you can use one connection and multiple Ignition Tag Groups (1 tag group = 1 OPC subscription).
