I want to open the siemens 1518 plc webserver through Perspective IFrame. Some detail need pay attention? And the src is http. I can open the src by chrome and the gateway to plc is connected right.
If your session is running on https, you can't have an iframe with src as http.
The site that will be inside the IFrame must also set headers that signal that it is allowed. (Default in browsers is not allowed.)
See if the Siemens offers control over frame options or content security policy headers.
Note that this is a security restriction imposed by web browsers, totally outside of Ignition's control. Not contradicting your point at all - just emphasizing that you must work around this elsewhere.
Most often, the kinds of products that offer these embedded web views do not allow any kind of customization of headers.
If you truly need to embed this web interface, you could potentially use a "reverse proxy" that makes the connection to this portal and essentially mirrors it out, but using proper HTTPS and sending proper CORS headers. This is well traveled ground, but not the most trivial thing in the world.
We used web browser in V7.9 vision module to access SIEMENS 1518F webserver. And replacement soltion in V8.1 perspective since Iframe DOES NOT WORK for SIEMENS 1518F webserver.
Then use Vision and its Web Browser module in V8.1 or V8.3. ![]()
