Some posts are 15 years old. Not all of them survive. Welcome to the interwebz.
I have used LogixPro for about 5 years to teach introductory PLC programming exercises at a local university. The software's UX is laughable, but I've always been successful using it to teach the fundamentals, and haven't found a better alternative (for the price). Inexpensive automation/PLC resources are hard to find, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a starting point to learn PLC programming.
I always recommend that people complete the first 4 exercises using only OTE instructions and stay away from OTL/OTU. Then after they have mastered the fundamentals, go back and solve them with latched and unlatched instructions.

Surpised PLCTalk hasnt been listed.
Some pretty knowledgeable people there including some ex Rockwell engineers.
Sure it was, like the 3rd post.
Terrible looking forum but decent information.
Ah....i only know it by PLC Talk...never paid attention to the .net URL. Oh well, it bares repeating as most of the others have died. Even MrPLC went offline for awhile recently, although they seem to be back, but traffic has really died there.
I used to participate at PLCTalk until, a few years ago, a moderator made a poll of a very political question. Then attacked the few, including me, who didn't adopt the politically correct position. Politics can be discussed politely in public, but only if all interlocutors, particularly those with authority, are inclined to do so. I later learned that the entire long topic had been deep-sixed, but the moderator in question remained. Sad.
MrPLC is still having some technical difficulties, fwiw.
Politics and religion in any forum is no bueno. I avoid them if at all possible. I run hot and cold with PLCtalk. Ill participate heavily when im on travel, bored in the hotel room, but then I'll forget about the forum, and go years without a single post. I dont get attached, so i guess I avoid all the drama.
