Is there some way to tie the data in the output console to a text label?

What are you ultimately trying to do here? You do have the ability to view the console in the client by going to the Help menu and selecting Diagnostics. Here you will find a tab labeled Console.

If you want to see the output console in your client:

  • In Designer, go to Project/Properties/Client/User Interface and NOT Hide Menu Bar.
  • Open your client in Windowed Version and click on Help/Diagnostics/Console
