Perspective Alarm Status Table – filters.active.results.data always empty

Hi all,

I’m using the Perspective Alarm Status Table on Ignition [8.3.4] and need to show a progress bar while the table loads its alarms. I’d like to toggle the progress bar’s display based on whether the table has data, without running a separate system.alarm.queryStatus call or polling with now().

According to the docs, setting props.filters.active.results.enabled = true should write the table’s current filtered data to props.filters.active.results.data. I’ve enabled it, but data always stays empty ([]), even though the table is clearly showing active alarms.
What i have done:

  • Set filters.active.results.enabled to true
  • Checked in Preview mode and in a live session
  • Bound a Label to filters.active.results.data, which displays [] while the table shows alarm rows

I need to do the same functionality of showing progress bar while loading data in Alarm Journal table too.

Heed the warning in the user manual

enabled: Enable filtering results to be written back to props. Value is a boolean. Note: Enabling this property may cause a performance decline

I would personally never turn this on. I did once before that warning was there, and it caused significant issues until I worked out it was that causing it.

Ok, noted Thank you
