Perspective App failover with redundant servers

Hi,

How does the Perspective app work when you have redundant servers? If you have an active session to the Master server and the Master server fails will the application automatically switch to look at the backup or will it only connect to the backup if you open a new session of the app?

Thanks

The session will attempt to connect to the backup.

If it was already running.

For obvious reasons, if you're trying to point a web browser at a URL hosted by a server that doesn't exist, it will fail. Though the mobile apps and Perspective Workstation do their own attempt to cache the backup's information, to add this functionality that's impossible in browser only sessions.

Thanks, it was all the way at the bottom, I looked at that document but missed that part.

Not talking web browsers, talking Perspective App.

What kind of restrictions are there when using authentication though? We've noticed using AD user source we have to re-login to the Workstation app when the active gateway changes, which isn't exactly a seamless experience. Is this an issue more on the setup of Authentication as opposed to Redundancy?
