ahhh
This is a slight change from 8.1, but once you’re signed in it should all be unlocked again.
upon running WinDbg to analyze the crash reports I find that I get this error which is now no longer caused by the AV but instead Chrome/JxBrowser itself. I get the “chrome!CrashForExceptionInNonABICompliantCodeRange” error raised.
Anything different in the console logs?
I tried researching that Chrome crash and I just came up with there being a variety of possible causes. I thought for sure it had to be coming from security software.
I’ll have to check back in tomorrow, but we may end up needing to collect the Crash Dumps and DEBUG logs and send them over to TeamDev.
Try deleting this entire cache directory and relaunching.
C:\Users\rhull\.ignition\cache
While the AV remains disabled....
So with the cached files above remaining I still cant get ignition perspective working.
No, it is not alright. Use admin privileges to delete those, too.
Sorry for the late reply I tried both Command Prompt and PowerShell yet both failed to delete. I am running them in administrator and I am forcing deletion but it continues to fail.
It’s saying some of those are in use. Make sure all Designers are closed before attempting to delete.
All are closed and I stopped the ignition gateway. I’m gonna restart my computer and see if it works then
Also, did a JxBrowser folder get created in C:\Users\rhull\AppData\Local\Temp
?
It should be named something like this: JxBrowser-UserData-1a76bb6d-0fa8-4b4d-ad3a-63be0cd9674a
That should get created when the Designer gets launched and JxBrowser is going through its process. The fact that it’s not is a bit suspicious. @EMarsupial mentioned that folder not existing in the other thread as well. Perhaps there’s some sort of permissions issue with it being created in the Temp folder?
Are you able to manually create a folder inside of that Temp folder?
yeah I can add a new folder. What should I call it?
The name shouldn’t make a difference. I was mainly just checking to see if there were any user restrictions on creating a folder in that location.
Should I attempt to uninstall and reinstall everything again?
