Perspective Power Chart Vertical Grid Not Showing

I am currently attempting to add a grid to the Perspective Power Chart. I successfully added the horizonal grid but have been unsuccessful adding a vertical (timeaxis) grid. I was able to get the grid lines to appear, but the grid background (the white in my images) completely covers them. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The images attached show the vertical grid lines, blue, being covered by the the chart background, white.

I have since figured out that an alpha value can be added to the hexadecimal colour code for the background of the chart. For example in the original images the hex code was #ffffff, in the image attached, the code #ffffff00 was used for 0% opacity. I have yet to try and see how a different opacity looks with the grid lines, for example #ffffff66 for 40% opacity.
