Hi Everyone,
I'm working on an Ignition Perspective project (Version 8.3.8) and would like to know if the following requirement is achievable. If yes, could you please guide me with the recommended approach?
Requirement
I have a Perspective Table with the following columns:
Action
Label
Initially, all rows are empty.
Example:
| Action | Label |
|---|---|
At runtime, a user action (button click or another event) updates the Action column for a specific row.
For example:
| Action | Label |
|---|---|
| Start | |
| Stop |
Expected Behavior
If a row's Action column contains a value, the corresponding Label column in that row should display a Dropdown component.
If the Action column is empty, the Label column should remain empty and should not display a Dropdown.
This must work dynamically on a row-by-row basis.
The table may contain 250+ rows, so the solution should be scalable and not require manual configuration for each row.
Example
| Action | Label |
|---|---|
| Start | [Dropdown] |
| (Empty) | |
| Stop | [Dropdown] |
| (Empty) |
Questions
1.Is this achievable in Perspective?
2.What is the best way to conditionally display a Dropdown based on another column's value in the same row?
3.Any examples, best practices, or documentation references would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
