Perspective time series chart automatic y-axis with markers

Is there a way to have the time series chart include line markers in the automatic range for the y-axis?

I have some limit markers that we want to be visible on the chart.

I manually calculate the min and max using a script and then bind the min and max values to these values. Unfortunately I ran into another issue with the min/max bindings in that the chart doesn't redraw until the mouse goes over it:

If I set a binding on the min and max of an axis on a time series chart or change the min max value via a script, the chart does not update the axis until the mouse is over it. Is there a way to have the chart automatically redraw when the min / max changes or is there a python method to do this?

There is a suggestion on that post to add and remove a pen to force a redraw. I haven't tried that yet.

I'm hoping that this all gets fixed in a future update from IA.
