Has anyone used the PI OPC DA Server, configured as a DA OPC Connection on an Ignition redundant pair, to read/write to an OSI PI Collective? If so, did you install/enable the PI Buffer Subsystem on the Ignition servers?
We have the PI OPC DA server installed and functional but haven’t used it yet in Production so we are looking for any known issues.
Also wondering how failover between Ignition servers and PI Collective servers impacts the data reads/writes.
Huh. You are the first I can recall migrating TO PI instead of AWAY from PI. Are you sure you want to do that?
We are performing calculations in Ignition and must write results directly to PI tags. PI is our Quality batch record so we can’t stop using it.
