Pipe Tool: Pipe Ends Not Snapping Together

Hi,

I've been drawing pipes using the Pipe drawing tools in Ignition Perspective, but in one spot I'm unable to connect two pipe segments. They seem close but won’t snap or join together.

Has anyone encountered this issue or know how to properly connect them?

Thanks in advance!

You'll have to share how you do piping in the editing view. I have the opposite problem: my pipes are snapping together where I don't want them to.

I'll wager that these pipes are already connected elsewhere. All pipes must follow a parent-children-grandchildren-(...) hierarchy. The pipe tool will merge two pipes if it is able to generate a single 'tree', but tries to jump over (or under) another pipe if that 'branch' is already part of the same tree.

I typically hide two pipe ends behind another object (valve, pump, etc) when this issue presents itself.

Mostly as a note for myself for later, but I want to add:

Can kind of draw additional pipes, then sort of drag them into position directly adjacent, and it will appear as though continuous, if using solid.

Each pipe also, inside of itself has another visibility property for specifically that section of pipe.
