my old designer laptop is giving me messages of “imminent hard drive failure” so I’ve started loading apps and software onto a second laptop. I’ve installed Ignition and wanted to get all the Gateway settings by restoring my Gateway backup from the old laptop. It seemed like this was working, except that once I got to the point where I got a progress bar for “Gateway Status: STARTING” we don’t seem to ever get past that point—laptop has been sitting w/ this screen for over an hour now. Any help you can give?
What version of Ignition are you exporting from and importing to?
Also, can you post or email us your wrapper.log files? You can find them in the default install directory, usually C:\Program Files\Inductive Automation\Ignition.
Ignition probably started just fine. I would close the browser and open it again with the Ignition Gateway URL:
