I have had this problem before.
I think a complete uninstall and re-install was the remedy before but now the issue returns…
I was hoping to get more clarification as to what causes this.
I have edited the conf file to reflect java 6 and 7 paths and neither one worked to remedy this.
I am using 7.5.0 (b1079) | 64-bit on windows 7 . I have many other pc’s around the house here that
can run fine various OS’s. I seem to have this stability problem only on this PC. Reasonably there must be something about my filesystem or installation that has not cooperated.

You probably need to reinstall Java. I would first uninstall Java, then restart the machine, and finally reinstall Java.
