Problem restoring backup

I installed Ignition (version 7.9.8-windows-x64) since I must perform a system migration. When restoring through the web page using a system backup the web server and the gateway are stopped and also the ports are listed as unknown. You have seen this in the launch gateway control utility. Any help?

Have a look at the wrapper log for any errors. It could be that not enough memory is allocated within the ignition.conf file.

Remove this option. Java8 accepted it. Java11 doesn't.

I am beginner in Ignition and have exactly the same problem.
Could you please advise me what to do next eg.
Java 8 i believe is current version for windows 10 - how to source Java 11 ?
You mentioned to “Remove this option” - could you please advise how to do it?

Ignition 8 includes Java, you don't need to source anything.

If you're seeing this error restoring a backup it means the backup contains an ignition.conf that has this option set. You should be able to unzip the backup file and edit the ignition.conf.

If you're seeing this error in some other scenario you might want to start a new thread instead.

Many thanks for your answer. Can i unzipped the gateway backup do the mod and compress it once again uzing zip or 7zip or is there a way to modify it inside the archive ?

Yes, using zip, not 7z or any other weird format.

That depends on your zip software.
