Problem with iPad connection error

We are having a lot of issues while using the iPad with the Ignition HMI system. Upon first launch, everything seems ok. If we go back to the home screen for a while and then come back we get the error message, “Software caused connection abort: socket write error”. Sometimes pressing the restart button works, but most of the time it does not. I can press the ‘restart’ button and will return to the same restart error page. After pressing the home button twice on the iPad and force closing the Safari app, I can go back into the start page of the Ignition system and get it to work. It doesn’t seem like it should be this hard though. Any ideas? Should I try a different Android based tablet?
