Problems after ignition version update

Our IT has updated the ignition version from 8.1.19 to 8.1.45. After the update I found two problems:

  1. All tag values disappeared in tag browser.

  2. All Python Scripts indents displayed abnormal

Does anyone know the reason? Is it a bug for the version update?

  1. No idea. I'd try deleting the cache on your designer machine and let it download a fresh copy. If that doesn't work, consider reaching out to support.

  2. Those are tab lines meant to show up every 4 spaces so help show indentation. You can toggle those in the editor's right-click menu under Appearance.

The tag value comes back after I clean the cache and reload the project. problem 1 solved.

for the problem2, I found the tab lines is showed every 4 spaces, but the actual tab key is not 4 spaces, the tab key is 7 spaces. Are there any method to specify the qty of spaces for the tab key?

No2 also shows up if your OS display settings have a zoom factor of anything with a decimal eg the "recommended" setting on some monitors is 125% (1.25) which will screw with your designer
