I’ve set up Ignition and configured it to use the MES module, but I’m running into an issue where the Production Model is missing from my Designer. Here’s the setup I’ve followed:
Installed MES modules in sequence as described (Changeover module followed by Production).
Created the MES schema in MySQL.
Added a MySQL connection on the Ignition Gateway, pointing to the MES schema (connection shows as valid).
Configured MES module settings on the Gateway.
Confirmed that the MES schema in MySQL now has the appropriate tables.
However, when I open my Designer, the Production Model does not appear.
Here’s a screenshot showing the missing Production Model:
In order to see the production model you have to actually add its component to a view and configure it from there. I find the vision one is easier to use and works consistently. There are occasions where the perspective components don't always save configs.
I did that. But Sepasoft shows in their videos Production Module gets added in the Project Browser just like Transaction Group. From there one can enable/disbale the Production module, which I am not able to do.
Recipe configuration, variance enable etc everything available their at one place there. I just don't see that module in my browser. Tried restaring module couple of times
Their Production Model was moved out of the Project Browser, but it seems like the components are functionally the same as what it was. You could probably follow the videos and use the components in place of the Project Browser
As far as other learning, I would start with their documentation for the module, and the components required.
