Running Ignition 7.6.2 b2368
After I open Designer the Property Editor Panel appears until I click on the Alarm Pipelines folder or one of the alarm pipelines in the folder. I cannot edit Notification properties in the pipeline.
The panel reappears when I open a window from the Project Browser or click on the Windows folder.
The Property Editor panel is checked when I look under View/Panels from the Designer menu.
Hmm, I’m afraid I don’t quite understand the problem you’re having.
The Property Editor panel should get swapped out for the Pipeline Block Editor panel if you’ve got a folder or pipeline selected in the tree. Is this not happening?
I found that I needed the Pipeline Block Editor. Once I checked the box under the View/Panels I am now able to edit the pipeline blocks.
It would improve usability if the Pipeline Block Editor would become visible when the user double clicks on a pipeline block.
Thanks

Hmm… it does for me. I’ve never seen it hidden before.
I’ll ask around and see if anybody else has experienced this.
EDIT: I see what’s going on. If it’s been explicitly turned off under View > Panels, it doesn’t show up when you select a pipeline.
