Publishing from a Test environment into Production

Hi all,

I’m working on an architectural proposal for a client that includes Ignition. Traditionally, I’d include a “Test” environment where changes can be tested before they are published in to the “Production” environment. These changes are usually migrated from Test to Production through some kind of publishing process. Does Ignition facilitate this kind of workflow? Any suggestions to keep manual edits out of Production?

I should also note that I’m using UDTs, so using the SQL Tag Provider is not an option.

Perhaps you could use the Enterprise Administration Module to distribute changes to projects in different gateways: docs.inductiveautomation.com/di … nistration

You can also use the staging client to test out changes made to clients before publishing them to the production clients. See here: docs.inductiveautomation.com/di … Versioning

But I don’t think these solutions provide a way to give a testing/staging environment for tags and UDTs.
