Quarantined Data

We have this issue of duplicates being quarantined in the Ignition Gateway for the remote Edge historian data.
Our Gateway has more than 300K events quarantined. We cleared the cache but it builds back fast.
My question is if this an issue due to the version used.
We have Windows 10 Ignition Gateway version 7.9.19 and Ignition Edge Linux 18.04 version 7.9.10.
Is upgrading a solution ?
