Is there any way to query datas from an Ignition Edge database from another platform connected via OPC UA?
I have an Ignition Edge device that I plan to connect to Cloud Wonderware via OPC UA. I intend to utilize the 7-day buffer feature of Ignition Edge (version 8.0.17) to archive data on Wonderware. Is it possible to send queries to the Ignition Edge database for this purpose?
No, use the full version if you need to achieve this.
This 7-day history/sync feature of Edge have anything to do with OPC UA.
If you connect another client via OPC UA you'll get real time data and nothing else.

Indeed, DARWIN is ENGIE's platform designed for collecting data. Therefore, we need to transmit the data to them via OPC UA.
But, it appears that we can only send data in real-time. If we want to store data to fill in gaps in case of communication loss, we'll need to switch to the Ignition standard.
