Looking for feed back from anyone who has used Control Wave Micro's RTU with Ignition ver. 7.9.21. (I know we need to upgrade we are in the process of funding).
We are using MODBUS as our protocol and we able to see the value's from the RTU, we can import them into Ignition but Ignition is not reading the value from the RTU. We can how ever use third party modbus software and are able to communicate with the CU micro RTU. CU Micro's is what we have on our network, I'm currently trying to proceed to AB870 micro's. But in the mean time I trying to make this work.
Are you using the modbus mapping option in Ignition? If so don't use that, just configure tag OPC addresses manually.
Are you getting a communication timeout / the driver is saying the device is unconnected? Or are you just getting strange values when you are reading registers?
You may need to play around with the various options in the modbus driver to get your registers reading correctly. The main two to play with are Zero Based Addressing and Reverse Word Order
