It is possible to give view only access for the Tag Browser in Designer. I want to give our maintenance staff view only access to designer so they can look up screen tags for trouble shooting. I can give them view only access in the Project Property - Permissions. However, they still have the ability to edit and delete tags.
You can go to Project Properties > Vision > Permissions and look for “Tag Editing” type in the roles with access to do so. Make sure to select it with the checkbox. Anyone else will not be able to add, remove, or modify tags.
Thanks for the replay. I actually did try that and was still able to add and delete tags in designer. It did say that the clients are not able to add, remove, or modify tags. I’m assuming it doesn’t apply in designer.

I have the same request for "Process Engineers".
No, designers are fundamentally unlimited. Don't give designer access to people you don't trust to edit stuff in the gateway.
